Be Right Back!

Wow, I hadn’t even realized that I left this blog for such a long time.  I was really busy during late October 2011 finishing up some projects before my December / January holidays.  So here I am and I just have a few things to sort out before I resume swapping.

If you sent me cards and I haven’t returned the swap, please contact me and at least verify if I have received a card from you.  Don’t hesitate to contact me! Before I left, I posted mail to some swappers so please let me know if you’re received mail from me.  If not, I can check to see if I had sent you a return swap.

Anyway, enjoy the weekend!

Pending Swaps Update

I was able to contact everyone on my pending list of pending swaps.  Somehow, everyone has received the cards I sent, except for the two swappers in the Philippines.  I had sent them both 10 cards each and both have confirmed that they have not received any cards from me.  There is obviously a problem with the Philippines postal service.  According to Godfrey, this is not the first time he’s experiencing this…in fact, he says it’s been so common recently that he actually went as far as getting out of it for a while. Swappers That Still Owes Me Cards

Last night I was going through the list of swappers whom I sent cards to but never received any in return.  Over the years of being a swapper, I’ve never had any issues with unreceived mail (in my earlier days we found swappers through FBs or ‘Friendship Books’).  The swappers I have found recently though, are all available on Facebook.

The following are swappers who I sent cards to (first batch and second batch).  The ones in green are swappers I’ve already received cards in return from, and the ones in red are swappers who I have not received cards from: Continue reading

Delcampe.net – The Online Auction House for Collectors

I’ve been a member at Delcampe.net since 2007 but never really did anything there; just pretty much lurked around.  But then again it was because at the time, it wasn’t that much of a big deal…not as developed as it is today.  I’ve been ‘hanging out’ at this place lately though, because in my quest to find African mainland cards at Facebook, it’s been almost close to impossible.  It’s almost like people in mainland Africa do not collect postcards.

I even bought other collector items incl. costly stamp sets just so that viewcard collectors with extra Africa cards in their collection might be willing to offer me a card or two.  But believe me; it’s never been the case.  They simply didn’t have cards from Africa. Continue reading
